These homeowners had recently moved their aging parents into their basement, creating the need for a functional space where they could comfortably cook and prepare meals. Recognizing the importance of providing their parents with a convenient and accessible area, they reached out for our expertise in transforming the space to meet these needs.
To begin, we carefully removed the outdated cabinets and reconfigured the layout to make room for essential kitchen appliances and work surfaces. We also installed the necessary plumbing, including a new drain and water lines, to ensure a fully functional kitchen area. Additionally, we ran two new electrical circuits to accommodate the microwave and counter space, ensuring safety and efficiency for daily use.
The project was completed in about one week, with the majority of the timeline attributed to the installation of custom stone countertops. Once the countertops were in place, we added the finishing touches, creating a comfortable and practical kitchen environment for the homeowners’ parents to enjoy.
